10th Annual Western Maine Recovery Rally Returns September 20

The 10th Annual Western Maine Recovery Rally is happening Sunday, September 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing the community together for a day of hope, healing and celebrating recovery.

The day begins at The Hills Recovery Center, 15 Tannery Street in Norway, and concludes at Moore Park in South Paris.

The free community event will feature a BBQ lunch, inspiring speakers, a Kids Zone, family activities, music and free T-shirts while supplies last. The rally is a program of the Western Maine Addiction Recovery Initiative and is designed to celebrate recovery while bringing together individuals, families and community supporters.

Ahead of Sunday's rally, Nick Colby, a peer support specialist, and Nikkie Leverdiere, administrative coordinator, joined Stan and Ali on the WOXO Morning Show to talk about the event and what it means to the Western Maine recovery community.

They were also joined by Jeff Noblin, President of Maine Health Stephens Hospital, a sponsor of the rally, and Hollie Legee-Cressman from Healthy Oxford Hills, who discussed their organizations' involvement and support.
