Pink Feather Foundation forever home is here!

Pink Feather Foundation Opens New Forever Home in Oxford

For more than a decade, the Pink Feather Foundation has been helping local students in need by partnering with teachers to confidentially provide clothing and accessories at no cost to families. What began as a community-focused nonprofit in 2012 evolved into a mission dedicated to ensuring students have the clothing they need to feel confident, engaged, and prepared to succeed in school.

Now, the organization is celebrating an exciting new chapter with the opening of its forever home on King Street in Oxford. The new location will provide a permanent base for the foundation's growing operation as it continues serving students and teachers throughout the region.

To mark the occasion, the Pink Feather Foundation is inviting the community to a Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Friday, June 12, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the new space, meet the volunteers behind the organization, and celebrate the impact Pink Feather has made on countless students over the years.

The event is a chance to recognize how far the foundation has come and the bright future ahead as it continues its mission of helping local students one clothing package at a time.

Celebrating the Power of Community and WOXO: Together We’ve Raised Over $272,000 for Local Families & Students

At 92.7 & 100.7 WOXO, we’ve always believed local radio is about more than just music and entertainment. It’s about serving the communities we call home, bringing people together, and helping make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors. As WOXO celebrates our 50th anniversary this year, we simply want to say one thing:

Thank you.

Because of the incredible generosity of our listeners, local businesses, volunteers, community partners, and organizations who continue to step up year after year, together we’ve accomplished something truly amazing.

Over the last 5 years WOXO’s Annual Christmas for Kids Radio-thon each November in partnership with Rightstart, Inc., has raised an incredible $148,469.34 to help ensure local children and families experience the joy of Christmas during difficult times.

In addition, through the annual WOXO Oxford County Project Graduation Radio-Thon, our community has helped raise $123,878 to support safe, fun, and memorable graduation celebrations for students at high schools across Oxford County. That brings the total community impact to more than:

$272,347.34 Raised for Local Families & Students

That number represents so much more than dollars. It represents Christmas mornings made brighter for children who may have otherwise gone without.

It represents graduating seniors celebrating safely with their classmates and creating memories that will last a lifetime. It represents local businesses investing back into their communities. It represents listeners who continue to prove that small-town communities can accomplish incredible things when they come together.

From everyone here at WOXO, thank you for believing in local radio and in the power of community. Whether you donated a dollar, sponsored an event, volunteered your time, shared our posts, attended an event, or simply listened and supported what we do, you helped make this possible.

We are especially grateful to our community partners, sponsors, volunteers, schools, committees, and organizations who work tirelessly behind the scenes every year. None of this happens without you.

And year after year, you continue to prove that together, we can make a difference right here in Western Maine.

From all of us at WOXO, thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives and part of this incredible Western Maine Community for 50 years.
